Yorkshire Junior and Youth rugby league season is from March to October, with a summer break (though it does stop there, rugby league have several bolt-ons that could go throughout the year)

January – Optional Training / Registration & Payment
February – U5s/U6s Taster sessions – Run by experienced qualified coaches that are DBS checked. (All parents must volunteer to make a successful team for the future, GR pay for all Coaching an d First Aid courses and will support you in your journey) Once we have established volunteers we can progress into match games and playing at Leeds Rhinos the more details to follow.
March – October Junior rugby (YJYARL) – U6s, U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s and U11s (None competitive rugby)*
March – October Youth rugby (YJYARL) – U12s, U13s, u14s, U15s (Fully Competitive rugby)*
February – June Youth rugby – U16s, U18s
May – U6s-U14s. Leeds Rhinos Skegness Challenge. Additional cost direct to organiser – See link
*YJYARL – Break for school summer holidays.
February – November. U6s-U10s. Leeds Rhinos half time matches. Probably the best experience for the player & parent watching their son / daughter play on Leeds Rhinos stadium at half time in between Super league matches.
July / August – Guiseley Rangers Festival (& other local festivals). date TBC
August – Leeds Rhinos ambassadors festival. date TBC
December – Guiseley Rangers Presentation evening. Previously held at Yeadon town Hall
*Youth rugby (YJYARL) – U12s, U13s, u14s, U15s. Fully Competitive rugby in a league normally with 5 or 6 divisions. You are ranked on the previous seasons performance and can go up or down. (Your first three matches may determine if the league has put you in the correct division).
Other Competitions –
BARLA District Cup – Your local area clubs battle it out to ranked local champions – U12s to U18s (March – August)
Yorkshire Barla Cup – U12s, U14s, U16s, U18s. Play against all the teams in Yorkshire including Hull. (June – March)
National Barla Cup – U12s, U14s U16s U18s. Play against all the teams in all the leagues in the country. (January – June)
Optional Friendlies and mid week matches.
(In Addition we carry out fund raising to bring additional income to club to cover our courses that we expect your child to participate in).
